Below are links to a few scenes which did NOT make it into the film, for a variety of reasons.  One major subplot, involving a series of Todd's elaborate fantasies and daydreams, was cut because the tone of these scenes didn't sit well with the more naturalistic tone of the rest of the movie.  Other scenes were cut because they were made redundant by changes in the film's running order.  Many of these sequences exist only in rough first assemblies (with dubious image resolution) and a few were put together specifically for this website.

Be warned:  these clips were deleted for a reason, and in no way indicate the tone or style of the finished movie.

A lengthy flashback to Todd and Ryan in college, as Todd attempts to call a girl and profess his love for her.	This extended "action" sequence was one of Todd's daytime fantasies, and its cartoonish tone clashed with the emotional realism of the rest of the film.
An alternate version of a sequence which remains in the film, but featuring a more hostile reaction from Ryan.	Uncle Roy talks to Ryan about his marital problems, drawing Todd into the conversation.
Ryan and Todd have an awkward conversation.	Todd and Amy meet for lunch to talk about Ryan.
This brief fantasy sequence was filmed by a creek  next to a flood plain, with actors McConnel and  Puzzo dressed in bizarre costumes.	Another fantasy sequence, as Todd imagines  himself as a hard-boiled tough guy.
Roy reminsces about his high school sweetheart.	This brief establishing scene features Todd's mom, working on knitting him a Christmas vest.

Todd has pizza in his dorm room with Ryan and Amy.
